Getting Started
FAQ
No. BullBear Battle is a simulation arcade game for entertainment and education. You start with ₹1,00,000 in virtual currency. No real money is ever deposited, traded, or withdrawn. The app is not a financial product, brokerage, or investment platform.
The candlestick charts are generated by a simulated Geometric Brownian Motion price model — not live market data.
Approximately every 10 completed trades, the game triggers a Jackpot Round. During a jackpot, the price generator produces candles with 3–5× the normal move strongly in your favour — giving you a chance at an outsized win.
You'll hear the jackpot sound cue when a jackpot round begins. The jackpot effect lasts for the first few candles of the trade.
After 4+ consecutive wins, the frustration engine may trigger a Near-Miss. In a near-miss, price initially moves toward your target, then reverses and hits your stop loss — closely simulating the emotional experience of watching a winning trade turn into a loss.
This mechanic is intentional and teaches the importance of locking in profits with the Move Stop Loss feature.
The market cycles through three regimes every 10–30 candles: BULL ↗, BEAR ↘, and SIDEWAYS ↔. The current regime is shown as a badge on the chart.
In Bull regime, there's a slight directional bias upward. In Bear, a slight bias downward. In Sideways, movement is random. Learning to read regime shifts is part of the skill development the game teaches.
While a trade is active in Playing state, tap the Move SL button to open the Stop Loss sheet. You can:
• Drag the slider to a new SL price
• Use presets: Break Even, Lock 50%, Lock 75%
Moving your stop loss to break-even is a key risk management technique. The new SL cannot be moved beyond current price in the losing direction.
If your virtual balance drops to ₹0 or below, the Game Over screen appears. You can restart from your chosen Starting Balance (configurable in Settings). Your statistics and achievements are preserved — only your balance resets.
Tap the 📓 icon in the top bar during gameplay to open the Trade Journal. It shows your complete trade history grouped by date, including:
• Daily P&L totals
• Mini sparkline charts for each trade
• Coach commentary with R:R analysis
• Win/loss/near-miss/manual-close labels
After every trade, the Coach Engine generates a contextual comment based on your result, your streak, your R:R ratio, and whether you moved your stop loss. Comments appear in the result overlay and are saved in the Trade Journal.
Go to Settings → Gameplay. Available options:
• Starting Balance: ₹50,000 / ₹1,00,000 / ₹2,00,000 / ₹5,00,000
• Position Size: ₹1,000 / ₹2,000 / ₹5,000 / ₹10,000
• Timeframe: 2 Min (Scalping) / 5 Min (Day) / 15 Min (Swing)
• Difficulty: Easy / Normal / Hard
Changes to Starting Balance take effect on the next Game Over + restart, not immediately.
Navigate to Settings → Danger Zone:
• Reset Statistics — clears all performance metrics, keeps balance and achievements
• Reset Achievements — resets all achievement progress, keeps balance and stats
• Reset Everything — full factory reset, restores starting balance and wipes all data
All reset actions require a confirmation dialog to prevent accidental deletion.
Go to Settings → Player Profile. You can edit your display name (shown in the header) and choose a Trader Persona: Scalper, Day Trader, Swing Trader, Whale, Gambler, or Hedge Fund. Each persona has a unique accent colour.
Go to Settings → Audio to toggle Sound Effects and Text-to-Speech independently. Go to Settings → Haptics to toggle vibration feedback. All changes take effect immediately.
BullBear Battle is designed with a dark-first aesthetic optimised for trading chart readability. A light mode toggle is available in Settings → Display → Dark Theme.

Game data is stored in SharedPreferences (Android) or UserDefaults (iOS). Data is preserved through updates. However, uninstalling and reinstalling the app will erase all local data as this is standard OS behaviour.

BullBear Battle is free to play. Interstitial ads (via Google AdMob) are shown after a set number of completed trades to support continued development. Ads are not shown during active gameplay — only between rounds.
Go to Settings → Privacy → Ad Preferences inside the app to review or withdraw your advertising consent. You can switch from personalised to contextual (non-personalised) ads at any time.
On Android, you can also reset or opt out via Google Settings → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.
On iOS, manage tracking via Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
No personal data is collected by us. All gameplay data is stored locally on your device only. The only data flow to external servers is via Google AdMob for advertising purposes. Please see our full Privacy Policy for details.
On first launch in EU/EEA/UK, the app presents a GDPR consent dialog via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). Personalised ads are only enabled if you explicitly consent. You can change this decision at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ad Preferences.
There are 26 achievements in four tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. They cover trade count, win streaks, balance milestones, jackpot wins, direction specialisation, and more. Achievements are checked automatically after every trade — no manual claiming required.
Your career progresses through 10 levels based on cumulative performance. Each level unlocks new features: chart cosmetic themes, leverage options, and expanded position sizing. Level-up celebrations appear with a full-screen animation when you reach a new tier.
Levels range from Rookie Trader (L1) to Hedge Fund Legend (L10).
BullBear Battle features a local leaderboard only — no server connection, no comparison with other players. The 6 leaderboard categories (Best Win, Best Streak, Most Profit, Most Trades, Biggest Balance, Best Win Rate) track your personal bests.
Achievement progress is stored locally. It can reset if you used Settings → Reset Achievements or Reset Everything, or if you uninstalled and reinstalled the app. If neither of those occurred, please contact us with your device details.
• Best Win — highest single-trade profit (₹)
• Best Streak — longest consecutive win streak
• Most Profit — total accumulated profit
• Most Trades — total trades completed
• Biggest Balance — peak balance ever reached
